Music and Movement is a program geared for young children of all ages and their caregivers which include parents, grandparents, guardians and informal caregivers. This activity is a large group music and movement activity for young children of all ages and their families. The participants will be engaged in a variety of music and movement activities which will include songs, finger plays, props, movement activities, and instrument play. Children will work on social skills, following directions, and learn how to function in a group setting. Families are provided with information about the benefits of music and movement and how it supports development. Caregivers will be provided with information that correlates the benefits of music and movement to overall development and activity ideas to use at home. Sponsored by Self-Help, Inc., CFCE.
