Program Details
Janet Kawada invites workshop participants to build a miniature version of their own home. Everyone can relate to a home and anyone can create one. Using everyday materials, the community members will create a 6" diameter, round shaped "home" where they are able to express what is important to them. Each person will be given the paper structure to use as a base. By collaging, drawing, glueing, stitching and coloring they will create an expression of memories. Participants are encouraged to bring photos, fabrics, writing or other keepsakes that they would like to attach to the walls and roof of the building.
This program is suitable for ages 5 and up. Please register in advance as space is limited.
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Cultural Council of Randolph, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
