In honor of International Women's Day and St. Patrick's Day, the Randolph Women's Club has chosen to read Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly this month. The book club is also taking a look at the following secondary materials:
- "Quarantine" a poem by Irish poet Eavan Boland
- PBS NewsHour video of Eavan Boland reading "Quarantine."
- Biography of Eavan Boland.
- Author Mary Pat Kelly's author bio from her website.
- YouTube video of Mary Pat Kelly talking about her experience of doing genealogy research for her family history and how that became the novel Galway Bay. She discusses the difference between the experiences of the Irish immigrants in Chicago versus those who immigrated to the East Coast.
