Program Description

Program Details

Join us for the 2nd annual Randolph Teen Art Gallery Installation as we showcase 12 Randolph teen artists who will have their work displayed in the Turner Free Library Teen Room from June 2023 to May 2024.

Tuesday night’s gallery will be a drop-in event for all ages.  Light refreshments will be served.  No registration required.

The gallery installation is the end product of a Teen Artist Internship program which ran from February to April 2023.  Randolph teens in grades 7-12 were invited to apply to the program from December 2022 through January 2023.  Teens accepted into the program were able to receive up to $250 for work on a commissioned art piece for the Randolph Teen Art Gallery.  Teens worked alongside local artist Jamaal Eversley.

In addition to having their work included in our Teen Art Gallery, each teen artist will be featured in the next round of our Teen Lit Crate subscription box service, running from June 2023 to May 2024.  Tuesday night’s gallery will showcase both the original art piece and the item the art will be featured on in each of the Teen Lit Crate boxes.  Our Teen Lit Crate subscription box service is currently open for new subscriptions!  Apply at bit.ly/teenlitcrate.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Randolph cultural council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

This program was also made possible through funding from the Library Initiative for Teens and Tweens and the Friends of the Turner Free Library.
