Program Details
Join us for crafts and conversation at this ongoing program for adults and seniors! Make your own za'atar seasoning blend and learn how to use it at home! Za'atar is a blend of savory herbs that is popular in many Middle Eastern cultures. Recipes vary from region to region and every from family to family. Participants will learn to make an Armenian-style za'atar spice blend and how to make recipes with it at home. The workshop will include a discussion on how the Armenian diaspora created two distinct food cultures and language dialects between Eastern Armenians who fled the region during the Armenian Genocide and Western Armenians who were enveloped by the Soviet Union.
Registration required. Register online or call (781) 961-0932, ext. 8 as supplies are limited and on a first come, first served basis.
